Friend bought a Samsung tablet. By buying it he was entitled to then send away for free wireless ear buds. This he did using receipt details.

Then a couple of days later he decided to return the tablet as he didnt like the operating system.

Now, he has received the free wireless earbuds!

Should he return them to Samsung?

He told Samsung the above and they said to return them?

What do you think? Is he being sinful if he keeps them?

He did not buy the tablet with that intention so I’d say no. But he should call to see what Samsung says. 9 times out of 10 they usually tell you to keep something like that leaving you with goodwill towards the company in hopes you will frequent their business again.

No. He not sure what to do. He didnt buy the tablet just for the free ear buds.
Well he should have the company send him an addressed package and just send it back. If he has all the packaging, he can do it himself.

Its at the post office waiting to be collected. All he has to do is not pick it up. It will then get returned.

I think he would like to keep it but his gut says no....its wrong to.

Well he’ll feel better to be rid of it when it’s gone. I’m glad he is doing the right thing. :)

Well, if his gut, or God is making him uncomfortable to keep the earbuds, and the company told him to return them, then he should return them. Worse comes to worse, he could give the earbuds away to a donation center for those who can not afford technology.

It was the purchase contract, that allows for the free gift.

So, if the purchase is voided, then the free gift is voided, unless the "fine print" says..>"and if you return them, you may keep the free gift".

He should contact the vendor and inform them and then do whatever they say .... likely they will let him keep them.

Agreed. The vendor probably does not want earwax on the buds, if returned. But yes, the guy should ask the store about if he can return the earbuds.
